Welcome to YSM-Centre for Vocational Studies

Centre for Vocational Studies a unit of Yogoda Satsanga Mahavidyalaya situated in Jagannathpur, Ranchi was established under the auspices of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India founded by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda. It is a self-financed Institution affiliated to Ranchi University , Ranchi committed to the cause of quality vocational and value education chiefly among the weaker section of the society. This institution aims at building character and developing the personality of youth. This is a unique academic institution always striving to provide a serene atmosphere for liberal education, supported by intellectual freedom and spiritual development of the youth.

The three-fold development of an individual i.e, physical, mental and spiritual is our primary aim.

Having an idyllic, lush green extensive campus of 10 acres of land, the ethos of our campus is highly meditative. Coloured in the spiritual fragrance, the three storied magnificent building of the college gives ample room to our more than 500 students to study in a cozy atmosphere. Time to time organisation of various events like-annual functions, sports tournaments, exhibitions; personality development competitions like quiz, speech, extempore, elocution etc, provides the students a stage for all round development. Various external seminars enhance the professional knowledge of the students and introduce them to the job market. Well-equipped classes with white board, projectors & latest teaching aids help the students learn thing in a better way.

Matching up with the national mission of 100% e-literacy our Computer Lab, equipped with all modern equipments and systems has been training our students in the courses of Bachelor of Computer Application and Information Technology and empowering them to enter into the competitive world of job with an advanced outlook.
